- Accumulator
- A single bet that combines multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- American Odds
- Odds expressed as a positive or negative number; positive shows profit on a 100-unit stake, negative shows how much to stake to win 100.
- Asian Handicap
- A spread betting system that eliminates the draw by giving a half‑goal or quarter‑goal advantage to one team.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for betting activities.
- Bookmaker
- A company that sets odds and accepts bets on sporting events.
- Both Teams to Score (BTTS)
- A market where you bet on whether each side will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature allowing you to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Decimal Odds
- A way to express odds as a decimal number; the total return is stake multiplied by the decimal.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that eliminates the draw outcome; you win if your chosen team wins, and get your stake back if the match ends in a draw.
- Fractional Odds
- Odds shown as a fraction, indicating the profit relative to the stake (e.g., 5/1 means 5 units profit per 1 unit stake).
- Free Bet
- A promotional offer that lets you place a bet without using your own money, with any winnings usually returned minus the stake.
- Hedge
- Placing a second bet on the opposite outcome to reduce risk or guarantee a profit.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on a match after it has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win the match, with odds expressed as a positive or negative number.
- Odds
- The price that reflects the likelihood of an outcome and determines the potential payout.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Parlay
- A type of accumulator that links two or more bets; winning requires every selection to win.
